Two-story medical acute Rehabilitation Center. The first floor
houses a 40-bed in-patient rehabilitation unit with shelled space for an
additional 16 patient beds. The second floor accommodates a 30-bed
Ventilator Unit and ancillary support space needs, with 15,192 SF for
future growth. The lower level includes a central plant expansion, new
mechanical room, emergency generator room and an electrical room.
The
Rehabilitation Center has three main units to care for the diverse
needs of the patients. The Brain Injury Unit includes 10 private rooms
within a secured area and separate dining and therapy areas for patients
with cognitive impairments. The General Rehabilitation Unit focuses on
providing care and treatment to patients who are working to overcome
limitations due to stroke, neurological or orthopedic conditions. The
Spinal Cord Unit provides attention to patients who are impaired by
quadriplegia and paraplegia.
